I can’t believe the day has finally arrived. The day I can say: “Yes, we’re finished. The book is published.” Published in electronic format, that is. The print version will come soon. Seeing it on my Kindle is a proud sight to behold, but I really can’t wait to hold this baby in the palm of my hands.

For nearly three years now, I’ve been editing, co-writing, rewriting, re-editing, writing some more, editing some more … you get the idea … the autobiographical work of a bus driver. A driver in the entertainment touring industry, that is. People always tell him, “You have the coolest job ever!” Yes, he’s worked with and around cool people and experienced some things unique to folks in the entertainment touring industry. However, it’s work, and pay-day is just as important to him as it is to the next guy or gal.

The he I’m speaking of is Jerry Fitzpatrick, and the book is titled Tales from the Trails of a Rock ‘n’ Roll Bus Driver. In the work, Jerry details his experiences with everyone from rock and country musicians to women wrestlers, and of course the crews that work so hard behind the scenes. He shares his observations in a conversational style laced with humor. Situations range from shocking to heart-warming, from Van Halen to Barbara Mandrell. Through it all, Jerry shares his personal spiritual journey of redemption, forgiveness and grace. This journey is revealed through his stories of a life that led him from a troubled beginning, to his own experiences as a musician, and later his successful career on the road.

I’m honored to be a part of this project. Thank you to all my family, friends and cohorts that have supported and helped along the way. Through the book-developing journey, Jerry and I formed our own publishing company, Cowboy Buddha Publishing, LLC. Find out more about that here.

In the meantime, check out the book at the Amazon Kindle store!
